Make sure you play this game is you haven’t and you’ll love it. , Tomba (Sony PlayStation 1997) Disc Only - TESTED, 81.51, Report It. This was both trippy and unique at the time. You can jump down from 2D platforms and come out of it like you would in a 3D game. The main draw to this game was the unique idea of 2D and 3D mixed platforming. There are two parts of each level but one is behind each other. While the game sports many different enemies and environments it makes you feel like some thing’s missing anyway. With no map or any hints what-so-ever it can make things frustrating. The video game instructions and box are included. Tomba is a great game well suited for anyone who wants a break from the glut of 3D action. The cover art and liner notes are included. No damage to the jewel case or item cover, no scuffs, scratches, cracks, or holes. You are a caveman looking dude with pink hair who naps under a tree one day and an evil pig comes and swipes your bracelet your grandfather gave you.You try to recover it but you wind up doing more than just that. While the game has great platforming abilities it’s plagued with cheap deaths and not being able to find your way most of the time. Tomba Sony PlayStatRare PS1 Complete Black Label - TESTED & WORKING. The story of Tomba! is about pigs…evil pigs. It even is for today but of course shows it’s flaws more now. The Good: Classic platforming gameplay, decent story, lots of places to go, lots of different things to killThe Bad: No sense of direction what-so-ever can make you lost easily, cheap deathsI remember Tomba! back when I was a kid. :) And more if you’re like me and you just can’t get enough! Really.Fight evil pigs at the end of “levels” by catching them in bags (I say “levels” because you play in a sort of open world), meet all the elders that each give you something special, do cute and fun side-quests and the main quest to gain valuable items, go swimming, search a haunted mansion, meet dwarves, eat mushrooms that make you laugh or cry, explore secret areas that are full of things to do, and more…This game will guarantee you, I’d say, at least 30 hours of gameplay if you don’t do the sidequests, and around 80 hours if you do. If you want a super fun game that’s also, surprisingly, a pretty decent challenge, this is your game! It’s one of my favorite games of all time, and I’m a HUGE gamer so that’s saying something! The reason why it’s a little bit more expensive (especially for a psx game) is not only because the company stopped making games altogether, and the also because the people that own Tomba! keep their copies indefinitely because it’s that good of a game. its a shame how much you have to pay for a copy of this fantastic game anymore, but its worth every penny. a classic in the strongest sense of the word. you can upgrade your health multiple times throughout the game, and you find new abilities and weapons very frequently.as crisp, detailed, and colorful as a 32-bit platformer could be, Tomba looks and plays great for its time, its pure fun. theres tons of lore and backstory behind the world you explore, but in many cases you need to discover that for yourself, by talking to various friendly characters in towns and other areas you learn about them and pick up a quest or two along the way, this is where the open ended adventure comes in, the entire game world is streamlined and fully explorable, with only a short load time between certain areas, and more areas become available are you finish the quests. Packed with 130 quests, you’ll be busy for hours, and they arent all necessary to finish the main game, many side quests and activities to keep you busy long after finishing the main story line.Basically you play a wild cave-boy with pink hair, and you’re trying to stop the evil pigs and their plot. its filled with dozens of unique areas to explore and creatures to deal with. that someone remembered this overlooked gem of a game and wanted to draw an illustration, meant as a tribute for Tomba Tomba PSX Tribute Cover Art.
